• Why Lambda Theta Phi?
  • When I first arrived at UGA, I had no intention to join a fraternity. I only associated the term with its stereotypes. However, I still wanted to be involved on campus, and become familiar with a culture that was part of me, but never grew up with. I looked into different clubs and I noticed how involved the fraternity was on campus with the Latino community. After learning more about the fraternity, I realized that it was not only a good oppertunity to get in touch with my culture, but that the brothers shared a strong connection with each other. I then decided that I wanted to join the fraternity because I wanted to share that connection. When I finally joined the fraternity, I had received a lot of what I hoped for at UGA. I had found my sense of culture, I have met so many people, and I have memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
