• Why Lambda Theta Phi?
  • I've always been surrounded by influential people, from my family to my church pastors. From them I have learned to value STRENGTH and UNITY as a person. After arriving at UGA I kept those values in mind, and I knew that I had to succeed not only as an individual but that I also had to help bring others to success. I felt there was something missing in my life as a young Latino leader—I needed brothers away from home. I have also always wanted to set a positve example for others to follow; being a young Latino I have always struggled with the negative stereotypes attached to being Latino. Despite the negative stereotypes, we are a STRONG commmunity that values UNITY, EDUCATION, PROGRESS, INDEPENDENCE, and SUCCESS "by all means necessary".
  • In my search for a group that would provide me with a family away from home, I met Daniel Rosales and found out about Lambda Theta Phi through him. I did some research about fraternal organizations and there was no organization that catered to my needs, and that would make me a better leader and person than Lambda Theta Phi.
